Fritz5(.32) is tactically faster than Fritz6! > >Jouni I am not sure that is a totally correct statement. Most test suites I have seen show the scores between the two pretty close. They just score differently depending on the type of position. In this case it takes a long time to see the move, but there are others for ex BS-2830-07 F5.32 don't solve but F6 does. Similar in GS-2930. In this case even one of the best takes more than F5 Analysis by Little Goliath 2000 v2.5: 1...b5 2.fxe6 bxa4 3.b4 +- (1.53) Depth: 10 00:01:40 15564kN 1...Qc6 +- (1.42) Depth: 10 00:02:45 15564kN 1...Qc6 2.Nd4 Qc8 3.fxe6 fxe6 4.Ng4 Rxh3 5.gxh3 Nxg4 6.hxg4 +- (1.43) Depth: 10 00:02:48 15564kN 1...b6 ± (1.32) Depth: 10 00:03:30 15564kN 1...b6 2.fxe6 fxe6 3.Nd4 Qc8 ± (1.33) Depth: 10 00:03:34 15564kN (Bird, Scarb 09.03.2000) Analysis by Fritz 6: 1...Ke8 2.Nd4 Qb6 3.Ng4 Nxg4 4.Rxh8+ Ke7 5.Qe2 Bxh8 6.Rxh8 +- (1.47) Depth: 9/32 00:00:12 3601kN 1...Ke8 2.Nd4 Qb6 3.fxe6 fxe6 4.Ng4 Rf8 5.Nxf6+ Rxf6 6.Rh8+ +- (1.44) Depth: 10/32 00:00:23 6669kN 1...Ke8 2.fxe6 fxe6 3.Ng4 Rf8 4.Nxf6+ Rxf6 5.Qg5 Rf8 6.Rh8 +- (1.72) Depth: 11/33 00:00:59 16485kN 1...Rc5 +- (1.69) Depth: 11/36 00:02:47 41500kN 1...Rc5 2.fxe6 fxe6 3.Rf1 Ke7 4.Rxf6 Kxf6 5.Qf4+ Ke7 6.Qg5+ +- (1.62) Depth: 11/36 00:03:42 54620kN 1...Ke7 +- (1.59) Depth: 11/36 00:04:31 67004kN 1...Ke7 2.fxe6 fxe6 3.Nf5+ exf5 4.Rxh8 Bxh8 5.Rxh8 Nf7 6.exf5+ +- (1.56) Depth: 11/36 00:05:04 75778kN 1...Ke7 2.fxe6 fxe6 3.Nf5+ exf5 4.Rxh8 Bxh8 5.Rxh8 Qd3+ 6.Qxd3 +- (1.69) Depth: 12/37 00:06:44 98848kN 1...Nc4 +- (1.66) Depth: 12/37 00:11:47 168677kN (Bird, Scarb 09.03.2000)
