Also, I was under the impression that the new line of Athlon motherboards that supported the 133Mhz bus speeds were free of 4x compatibility problems. As explained in Anandtech.com review of Via's North/South bridge chipsets vs. AMD's Irongate chipsets which only boast AGP 2x features. If a person is intrested in building an Athlon system...make sure the motherboard is of the new line and is native 133mhz bus support which would guarantee 4x support in the chipset design. The AsusK7V KX133 comes to mind as a very stable and quality choice. Keith
