Ok, you said to worry about it is a Hoax. My impression is that you are being
too blarzay (phonetic sp!) about this invasion of our Personal Computers. I
don't want my computing information given to someone who sneaks in and steals
it. If they can sneak in like that, what else can they do to my computer?

I Asked the Windows CD Rom to put there what it deemed necessary. It might even
have given me a choice (typical, custom,....). I asked other programs to
install what they needed to run, & they put stuff in my directories & in my
register. I asked them to do it, I wasn't explicit about what or where, I
clicked on an Install button, read a disclaimer, & clicked next.

Agreed. I installed Freeware programs that added this "stuff" to my computer.
I could have installed a Freeware program that added a nasty virus to my
computer. I would not have liked that either.

Now you are resorting to being silly and mean. I'm trying to handle my Internet
security concerns with McAfee Guard Dog, and also the Utility (I foget OptOut?)
you pointed me to.

Your original post said to me "don't panic, read this". I read This, I
downloaded their utility, I used it to clean my computer of an uninvited
"stuff". And I thanked You.
