Not DJ's, but KC's.  Xie Jun did not take it upon herself to oversee _any_ part
of the communication.  She just agreed to play chess (yes, I am assuming
something about the details of her contract).  From her point of view (I think
correctly) any communication problem, even if 100% in China, was a KC problem.
KC should have realized this beforehand and taken precautions.
