The rules say that you can only claim the draw on your move ... which is terminated when you make your move! Therefore, a player has to claim before completing the move ... indicating (if necessary) that they are going to make a move which does not capture a man (piece or pawn, whatever the FIDE rule text actually says!) or push a pawn. It is not therefore possible for both sides to claim at the same time. However, I am interested to hear how the 'claim' and 'concession' works in computer chess on the internet. Guy H
