For example, if you have a tournament with Crafty, Comet, Phalanx, & TCB, each program will interact with each other program differently. So if Crafty wins 5 out of 6 games against Comet, and Comet wins 5 out of 6 games against TCB, there is still no reason to beleive that TCB will not do very well against Crafty, TCB might still do 50% or better against Crafty, so by throwing a second Crafty into the mix, the balance of the whole tournament is off. It would be tainted by the second Crafty. That's not a feather in Bob's cap, it's not bragging rights at all. Pete
