Subject: Commercialization of Deep blue

If IBM is a wise company then it should start selling Deep Blue as a
commecial programme for PCs and Macs. Nowadays with the microprocessors
being so powerful(expected to reach 450-500MHz next year)and hard drives
of 8Gb and more as standard, the huge opening books and massive
positinal as well tactical knowledge of Deep Blue should make it a truly
formidable programme, a lot stronger than today's leaders Fritz5 and
Rebel 9.IBM after all does have a software division which sells PC games
and other leisure titles, and i'm sure that deep blue would certainly
become one of their best selling titles which could be marketed in 2
versions- one for the mass market like chessmaster 5000 and the other
for the serious chess players like fritz 5 and Rebel 9.(They will
recover all their investment in OS 2 Warp at least!)

What do others think of this idea?
