I had to look into the Fritz6 demo, of which I have the german version. I
noticed that the search mask works a little different than before; "reset" (or
what it's called) reset all search boards it seems. In the exclude board, you
can remove exclusions by holding [CTRL] while clicking at the squares. To
complete your task, you would have to clear the e2 square in the exclude board
by this, and set those 2 white and black circle symbols (kind of piece
wildcards) at e4.

All this would be much easier of course, if the position to search for is on the
board...
