One other point I have heard mentioned is that David has said that they are
going to enforce the 'author must attend' rule strictly this time.  Last time
(WMCCC) I couldn't take off for that long, and when I asked the ICCA they said
'an author must be present' but then they changed their mind at the last minute
for more than a couple of programs...  I certainly can't attent this summer,
as I am teaching here...  which is a pain...  ICCA used to try to help the
'academic types' by taking this into consideration, but now they hold these
things right in the middle of terms and make them last way over a week...

argh...
