Sponsors for the _event_ are important.  ICCA uses the proceeds from this event
to fund basic operations yearly.  I think that is going to change, as it is
going to get harder and harder to get sponsors to cough up 36 thousand bucks and
up, after (in the opinion of sponsors, chess was 'solved' by Deep Blue).
