I looked at the February 28, 1993 computer list, and all I can say is "hats off to the software and hardware improvements". 2/28/1993 Highest rating was 2330 SSDF. The second highest was 2280 SSDF. 3/28/2000 Highest rating is 2720 -> Fritz 6 on 450 MHZ PIII (not 1 GHZ) Year 2007 5 International Grandmasters work together and vote versus a machine All it takes is (1 or 2 rating points) per month improvement for the next 7 years.
