What are you basing your conclusion that the hash tables are not being
used? I'll have to take a look at Fritz4 again, but I assumed that the
feature which reported the status of the hash table during the search
was new in Fritz5 and that the older engines simply don't report their
hash table consumption. Of course, if Fritz4 had the same feature then
this is utter nonsense 8-)
