Go up one level in this thread

Dear wayne:
I agree with you in every word you have written about the capacities, talents,
kindness, etc of Doctor Hyatt and surely nobody here does not, but,
nevertheless, it is neccesary some parsimony or you face the danger to go beyond
the limits and makes of Hyattt a kind of Dalai Lama. It is clear that to say
"not that strong" does not involves to say "weak"; it depends of how much
strenght is involved in the sentence "that strong" . If strong is equal to be
4000 Elo, even Kasparov is "not that strong".
Respect the style of some post, some of them could be or seems to be harsh, but
harshness is a kind of usual stuff here and Mrt Hyatt is not the less inclined
guy to use his own dosis of it. I have seen some of his post saying almost
"idiot" to someone. He can be harsh in ocasions and surely he can sustain some
harshness. We are grown up people, not violets. In other words, he is not in an
special category, no matter what his tittles in the field of computer science
are. Doctors, masters and all kind of high level people with high degrees are
not scarce here so I consider that he is just another member with no more
rights to special treatment than you, Bruce, Larry or, by the way, doctor
Irazoqui. This is not to say I love to read harsh posts; I have respect for
everyone here, doctor or not, master or not, but for the same token, because I
respect Hyatt, I do not believe he is so a weak person that he will faint if
someone say this or that of his program. Of course he can get anfry and go, but
that posibility cannot be a reason to make special rules to post anything
connected with him. And of course his eventual exit would be a a damage, but,
again, that cannot be used as a tool to ask nothing that we does not ask for
everybody here.
I hope this post will be understood in his true light, not as another vicious
attack.
Cheers
Fernando
