I would like to know if anyone else has tried such thing? or if anyone else can give me more info regardng why it is not possible?? in other words (to make it simple) i would like to know if there is a way to autoplay games between winboard and fritz gui. I am interested in this because as we all know that crafty is running under fritz interface in SSDF tests. but as chessfun said before that she doesnt see any differance since the programs plays the same moves, in a given amount of time, in both the interfaces. BUT in fritz interface it does not allow crafty to creat a normal learning file (like position.lrn and book.lrn)and i believe it makes a lot_of_differances. and also (as chessfun agreed) that crafty cannot use its ussual opening book ;9. So it can be said that crafty is not running in its "normal" environment. thus making it unsuitable to play test mathches of such importance (like in SSDF and the one chessfun is playing). though i know chessfun i not using opening book for her test. I am not saying that crafty "should not" perform under these conditions as far as "tests" are concerned. all i am saying that there should be an alternative to this. thanks for your comments pavel ;) ps, BEWARE my english is approved by chessfun and mogen larsen. so dont complain ;0 LOL.
