Hi chessfun,

after following your recent Nunn1 saga, I could not help
noticing some strange time distortions occuring on sunday,
this started with your post :-

 <snip>
 1 min game Fritz 6a 18.0 - 2.0 Crafty 17-10
 2 min game Fritz 6a 17.5 - 2.5 Crafty 17-10
 3 min game Fritz 6a 15.5 - 4.5 Crafty 17-10
 5 min game Fritz 6a 15.0 - 5.0 Crafty 17-10
I happened to let 5/0 run through the night.
As a result it looped through and played 5/0 twice.
In the second set of 20 games the score was:
 5 min game Fritz 6a 9.0 - 11.0 Crafty 17-10
I am not sure what to make of it. ]

and six minutes later:-

 <snip>
I will play 10/0 twice also to see if a similar thing happens there. ]

all fine so far, but then just 8 hours later:-

I think I need to clear before starting any new match.
I restarted both after the 10/0 games and then got the same
score. Re-ran the 5/0 after restart and again got the same
 score 15-5 to Fritz.]

Wow - in 8 hours you ran 20 games at 10min/game time controls,
restarted the computers,
replayed 20 games at 10min/game time controls, and got the same
score,
then re-ran 20 games at 5min/game time controls
even allowing for some very short games this is incredible.

six hours later you posted this:-

At 25/0 so far it's 9-0 to Fritz 6a though I have not
as yet checked the games as the match is still playing. ]

six hours for nine games at 25min/game is what I would expect,
but the quote above raises three more issues
1) how did you find the time to check through the games, both
at 5/0 and 10/0 as mentioned in a later post.
2) are you using the Internet on one of the computers at the
same time as a test is running, geez, this makes me wonder
if you have other things also sharing the processor, virus
checkers, wallpaper, pet-catz, etc etc.
3) are you an alien living in a different time dimension,
sent to earth to discredit crafty ;-)

Best regards from planet Earth.
