If it is true, as it clearly seems, that the participation of a chess program in
the Dutch national championship has been a political decision adopted by the
federation against the will of chess players, Bosboom and others had two options
left: not participating or boycotting from the inside.

I personally find quite maddening the attitude of some chess players refusing to
play computers in important events, but I also understand a protest against a
political decision against the will of chess players.

Tough, unpleasant situation.
