The point for the Dutch protesting players is not that of nationality as you
state, fear of computers, losing their rating (both you didn't suggest, but it
was suggested by others in this thread) but the absolute shameless way the Dutch
Chess Federation pushed through its will.

That's the way you deal with kids, not with professional chess players who
earned a *ticket* for a championship, and were raided by their own chess
federation.

As the KNSB made a mock of players rights, also in a board meeting where
questions were answered in a way like "don't you interfere, we know better, it's
for your own good", I think the Dutch federation gets what it breeded: treat
them like kids, they will react like obstinate kids.

I hate to see a nice experiment going down like this. Fritz deserves better.
Dutch chess deserved better.

It's always the national chess federation; I fled RGCP for the USCF stories but
now find myself back in a same association.
