When it's the KNSB and ChessBase involved, and chess players protest, at once is "inconsiderate" against sponsors. The Dutch federation should have been more timely with their plans, and more careful in their talks with players who deserved the place in that championship. I like the Fritz participation very much, but the protest of chess players overruled in their rights is not embarassing for them, but for the organizers. It is not Bosboom who insults Frans Morsch or Chessbase, it's the KNSB board. They should know that accepting a sponsoring offer is more than: it's okay, everything is decided. The KNSB is an association, a lot of members complained. KNSB listened zilch. And now their members do zilch against KNSB. That's how it is. We knew it would come to this. Jeroen ;-}
