Yes.  I think at very least people should report machine type and mhz at
time of application if possible.  Dark Thought didn't do this, probably
because they didn't have things finalized (I said 533 on mine even
though I didn't actually have a machine).  We still might not know had I
not poked Marsland twice to try to get him to find out what they were
on.

I poked him about some other teams (Virtual Chess is one that I remember
as being inspecific), but still haven't gotten anything specific back.
I still don't know what hardware the waiting-list accepted programs will
be running, but that is my own fault, I didn't ask about those.

The top machine in '93 was an Alpha.  There was no tournament in '94 as
far as I can tell.  The top machine in '95 was an Alpha.  The top
machine in '96 was an Alpha.

It was pretty easy to figure out that the top machine this year was
going to be a 533 or 600 mhz Alpha.  I was surprised by the 767 thing
though.

I don't know what it is cooled by, by the way.
