Correct. The question of reputation in science is uninteresting and useless. The question is also boring if the denial of the prints destroyed the experimental setting of the event in 1997 because Kasparov could no longer play his usual chess. It's boring because the answer is trivially a clear "yes, of course it was a destruction". But stupid? Please elaborate...
