I like tacos, and I'm willing to drive to get them. It takes me ten minutes to drive through crap traffic to get the tacos, I have to pay about a buck per taco, and then I have to drive the other way unless I want to eat them in the taco joint. I have to make sure not to forget the hot sauce, and I have to make sure the taco guy doesn't forget to include my extra cheese. Going and getting those tacos is neither brave nor cowardly, it's just a minor pain in the ass. In a world where getting tacos is viewed neutrally by the people who are arround you, or is perhaps even encouraged (my wife likes tacos, too, and I'd bring her back some), getting tacos is not a particularly brave thing to do. I'm not sure I see what these guys are giving up by resigning to the computer. A few bucks in prize money maybe, but big deal. It's not like these guys are going to be pariahs in the chess world over this, quite the contrary. Nor were the cowardly to not play. They had an opinion about something. They did what they felt they had to do and faced some minor consequences. Big deal. bruce
