While I agree that it's a lot better now than say four or five years ago, I'd
say that Chessbase is probably still the biggest target for somebody with an
agenda.  I'd guess that the academics could show up... ICCA executive members
might get a tough question once in a while, but I think it would be more likely
to end up as a positive discussion than a mess.  There are enough commercial
program authors here regularly to suggest that the situation is at least decent.
