Directly at the end of round 8 Thorsten Czub ( operator of CSTal )
phoned me to give the information through for the internet. His game
had been the longest of the round, and so he was unable to go from
table to table to collect information about the other games.

He wanted to tell me the results of all games, but suddenly the
sheet with the handwritten results was no longer at the wall. He
tried to get another copy or printout, but there was none available
within a few minutes ( phone running ... ). Finally he got a sheet
with the cummulative scores of the programs after round 8; I had an
analogous list for round 7; and I knew the pairings for round 8 from
ICC. So I was able to deduce the game results by substractions (hope-
fully correct ).

If you are in the tournament hall tomorrow ( Friday ) and maybe also
on the other days you may help us by feeding Thorsten with relevant
and interesting data. It is very difficult for him to operate CSTal
and to play reporter at the same time.

Thanks for your cooperation. Ingo Althoefer.
