Whoops, I was following up to Adrien, not Pete of course. In any case I looked
at the screenshots for the various interfaces shown at FICS.  Fugly!! ;) Didn't
see one for Freak, and could not access the web site given here.  Anyway the
default board for Winboard is ugly as sin, for example.  Sickly green and yellow
tones for the squares, and the pieces look like what you would find on old DOS
programs.  The other interface boards looked no better, the point being that it
would take some tweaking and font loading to get the boards to look anywhere
near as nice as the Blitzin board.  I don't care how well the features are laid
out if I have to look at an ugly board the whole time.  Some FICS fan please
feel free to show me what you think is a nice-looking board, so I can decide
which of us must be smoking something. ;)
