Is it not feasible to toss another version of Crafty out on the chess
servers that only accepts matches from other computers?
(Excepting crafties, of course).

Human-Computer play is extremely different.  It doesn't seem reasonable
to go from one to the other without a major overhaul, or at least
keeping the learning against computers separate from the learning
done against humans.
