I'm blushing too... I just wanted to post that 1.Ka3?? is obviosly the solution, because of ...Qa2+ 2.NxQ or ...Qb2+ 2.BxQ and no stalemate. But I thought twice and found that 1.Ka3, 1.Ka1 or 1.Bf2 seem all wrong for the same reason at the end of the variation(s): White looses the pawn f6 and remains with border pawn and a wrong coloured bishop. But 1.Bg2 makes a difference I think, but I'm not quite sure at the moment... analysing it together with Hiarcs 7.32 ("showing" the program the wrong continuations to the end). My analysis so far: 1.Bg2 [1.Ka3 Qxf4 2.Bxb6+ Kb8 3.Bc7+ Qxc7 4.Na6+ Kc8 5.Nxc7 Kxc7=; 1.Ka1 Qxf4 2.Bxb6+ Kb8 3.Bc7+ Qxc7 4.Na6+ Kc8 5.Nxc7 Kxc7=; 1.Bf2 Qxf4 2.Bxb6+ Kb8 3.Bc7+ Qxc7 4.Na6+ Kc8 5.Nxc7 Kxc7=] 1...Qxf4 [1...Qxg2+??] 2.Bxb6+ Kb8 3.Bc7+ Qxc7 4.Na6+ Kc8 5.Nxc7 Kxc7 6.Bh3 (?) - but this doesn't hold f6 either... I think I'll quit this. My fighting spirit is too low for that. Regards, M.Scheidl
