Subject: The New Anti Computer Chess Strategy at ICC

Author: Derrick Wilson

Date: 19:11:11 07/29/00

  I'm Running a Chess Tiger Clone at ICC, after reviewing some of the games I
noticed this particular 2300 player knocked me off twice in a row. I figured he
most be onen of those dynamite, anti computer chess humans ,that had developed
expience on how to beat computers. To my amazement I discovered his strategy was
simply to use the computers clock against it. This guy was winning on Time!!!;
while in Lost positions. He would simply build a stonewall fortress, then begin
to simply move the same piece back and forth, back and forth, until the program
lost on time!!!! I can't help but feel this guy is cheating, although i don't
know any specific rule that he is breaking, I just have the feeling that there
should be some rule against this type of play. The human is simply taking
advantage of the poor program!! What do you think ??, here are the games. I have
removed the name to protect the indivisual privacy.
The computer lost on time in both games!!
