Don't know if this is relevant. I think it is along the same lines. :) See: http://www.gambitsoft.com/turnier/welsere.htm The 1997 tournament did have a blitz competition, just interesting information. Go down about 1/2 way and find the 1996 tournament, below that there is a 1996 "Without Book" tournament. The results are interesting. I do not know if there was a 1997 "Without book" tournament.
