My congratulations to Stefan Meyer-Kahlen ! 6.5 out of 7 is a strong result. With my 3-Hirn I participated once in this tournament: it was in 1994, and 3-Hirn also won with 6.5 out of 7 ( although the concurrency was less strong than in this year ). In all the other years no participant achieved 6.5 . In my 3-Hirn match against GM Yusupov in September 97 ( Shuffle Chess, 3-Hirn won by 5:3 ) I used Shredder 1.5, and so I knew already about its strength in endgames, especially in positions where perpetual checks were threatening. And having in mind that already Shredder 1.0 is going to climb above 2400 rating points on the SSDF list ( on Pentium 90 ), Shredder 2.0 seems really to have chances to fight for the top of the SSDF list. Many thanks to Thorsten Czub for his information on the current tour- nament ! IA
