My statement that Kd5 followed by a4! is another valid solution
was premature -- I completely overlooked the cute reply b5! as
quoted by Howard from Chess Life, Sept. 1997.

BTW, DarkThought plays the correct move a4! -- Kd5 was my own shot :-(

It also solves test position #6 in 49 sec and the modified #3 in roughly
the same time as the original one.
