Its an interesting problem SSDF has using Crafty and other Amateur engines,
since they are updated much more frequently then the commercials. SSDF needs to
think about do they want the list to have 15 versions of Crafty on there, or do
they want an accurate representation of Crafty's strength. Right now, since
they are using a flawed version, they are gauging the strength of that version,
yet the avg person will look and see that Crafy has this low rating and wonder
why it did so well in this or that tournament.

IMO It was am istake for them to use any of the early versions of 17.x since it
took awhile for several key bugs to get removed from the program (if I recall
there was a bug that misevaluated pawns on the 7th rank in the early 17.x)
Perhaps it would have been better to use the last 16.x CB engine. And then only
now jump to 17.11.

In any event, I imgine that they will switch to 17.11 soon enough, perhaps after
this test set is finished.
