I've run afoul of Jeroen's work a number of times when playing Rebel myself. I
happily go down some theoretical line that's supposed to give me equality or a
plus, then suddenly Rebel's book springs a novelty on me that clearly improves
on published theory and I'm in trouble. I've frequently considered strangling
him:)

I've developed great respect this way for Jeroen's work - in fact, I've
sometimes wondered if some of the top grandmasters shouldn't consider using his
services as well.
