OK, I was assuming you meant "mate in 6" was that white could mate black in 6 moves (or after about a 12 ply search). I ran a few programs for several minuts and none of them saw a mate for white. Now I think you simply meant white gets mated in 3 (after a 5 ply search) if QxR. In any case, Bob Hyatt's earlier comments about not null-moving in check certainly apply.
