Has anyone done an analysis of that Botvinnik-Capablanca game on a fast computer recently? There may well be tactical mistakes in there - there may not be a forced mate. Even if there is a forced mate, and even if a computer can't find it, the computer might still play to a win. Is there any evidence that either player saw the win, and didn't just play some good moves that coincidentally lead to the win? In terms of this discussion, answers would be useful... -g >with Position this has already been done just look at the DJ Kramnik game.
