Hi Bas,

CT plays utterly boring?? Do you have the version of last year, or haven't you
been watching CCC the last weeks??

In Leiden Gambit Tiger played a very attractive game against Nimzo, with an
exchange sacrifice that proved only to be correct 20 moves later. I would hardly
call this 'boring'. In the 5 other games in Leiden (if you have played them
through) Gambit Tiger was confronted with an exchange of queen's right in or
after the opening. 'It takes 2 to Tango', so if opponents start trading queens,
it is clear you have a technical game and not an aggressive one. But you can't
blame Tiger for that.

Besides, Tiger's endgame is VERY strong, as it proved in the 4th, 5th and 6th
round by winning 3 endgames convincingly. So I don't mind playing these
endgames, as Tiger's technique is superior.

Another point: I am in Leiden to win the championship with Tiger and if this
happens by winning 10 endgames, I don't care. I am not there to win the
brilliancy prize, I want to win the title.

Regards, Jeroen
