I have been dealing with Shane for many years. From my years
of psychology education, I have found it is often true that
the sons of very dominant, aggressive fathers are often a
reaction to such behavior. Shane is driven, likeable, and a
smooth salesman,  but I do not think he has his father's
"killer" instinct.
