Chessmaster 8000 "went gold" yesterday, and is being sent to the duplication folks as we speak. It should be in stores around the second week of November. Amusingly enough, Thursday was also the day that Mattel officially transferred ownership of Mattel Interactive/The Learning Company to Gores Technology group. You can look them up at www.gores.com. They are almost exclusively known for buying technology companies that are in financial trouble and turning them around (by several means). Some they still own, others they sold, still others went public on their own. Gores itself is not a publicly traded company. Well, that's it. The development team tells me to thank you all for your comments/suggestions, and they look forward to further comments from all of you who plan to purchase CM8000 (yes, even the bad comments). ;-) jm
