Sorry for this late reply...

Your offer to get your Apple up and running and let Tiger play a game
against Sargon is very kind.

Hope you will find the time to get things ready for this battle. Anyway,
even if it turns out to be impossible (is your Apple2 still working?), I
have to thank you just for the intention.

Maybe the simple fact that you are still interested in watching games
like this, in which none of your programs are involved, is an
explanation of your success. It seems that computer chess is (still)
more a passion for you than just a job. Right?

If you let Sargon think for 24 hours for every move, mmh, maybe I should
set Tiger to a higher level than just 1mn for the whole game. What about
1h for the game, on a K5-100MHz computer, without thinking on opponent's
time :), and 256Ko hash?

If the game longs for 50 moves, it gives about 1200 hours computation
time to Sargon against 1 hour for Tiger. This makes the game a real
challenge, I think (with some chances for me to loose, maybe).

I can check my email at any given time you like. Maybe you can post
Sargon's move 1 hour before leaving your office, and I mail the reply to
you 30 minutes after or so. Whatever you like.

The game could last 1 month or 2, and it could be a kind of soap opera
for the readers of CCC. What a crazy idea!
