I'd like to say hello to you all as this is my first post here. I've read with interest this thread in particular. I would like to add that I performed a .dll dependancy check on Fritz6. It's interesting to note all the ties to mfc42.dll and it's brethern. Here's what's working for me: I made a sub folder under Fritz6. I called this folder "backup.dll" and moved these files into it from the main Fritz6 folder: MFC42.DLL, MFC42LOC.DLL, MSVCIRT.DLL, MSVCRT.DLL, SHLWAPI.DLL These files are also located in my C:\Windows\System folder so the Fritz interface does not complain. However, this may not be the case for all users? My exception is MFC42LOC.DLL. Explorer/Properties/Version shows an internal name of MFCINTL (German) on this file, which I don't have in c:\Windows\System folder but the Fritz/Junior interfaces don't seem to mind that I moved it into my backup.dll storage folder. Take this information for any value you may find in it. Don't forget you have backups in backup.dll if you recieve error messages and/or need to put files back as they were. Br5an
