The Visual Thinking window does not work in any useful way in CM8000. In CM6000 it shows the position after the last complete line of analysis (except it stops at pawn promotions) listed in the Think Lines window. I found that a very useful feature. However in CM8000 the Visual Thinking position does not correspond to any displayed line of analysis (list of moves). It isn't coordinated with the lines of analysis shown in the Think Lines window. For example if the last completed line of analysis was for 9 ply depth in the Think Lines window, Visual Thinking should display the position at the end of that sequence of moves. But it doesn't. Instead it apparently displays random positions from the current 10 ply calculation in progress, although I'm not sure. In any case, whatever it is displaying is apparently totally worthless because it does not correspond to any printed/displayed list of moves! That's an important feature to me, and I'm very disappointed that it doesn't work right. WP
