I suspect you are playing a lot of "fast" games with Shredder.  It is NOT a
blitzer in my opinion.  But at Game/1 hour it is winning almost every match I
have played so far.  I suspect at 40/2 (like SSDF) it will be fighting for the
number 1 spot.  I think one of the problems with the computer championships is
that the operators have too much input in controlling the opening that is
played.  Selecting the right opening becomes critical.  When you get only one
chance at an opponent you have to study him and find the right line to play.  I
suspect the top contenders do this very well.
