Maybe it is not clear for Bruce that he is not going to make the interface.

Bruce has the right to do his decisions.
I do not like criticizing decisions of other people about making money.

It is also the right of the programmer not to make money from his(her) program
and not to do it free.

I do not understand why people complain only about Ferret when there are a lot
of programs that are not free and not commercial.
