It runs on anything that runs Windows. It doesn't detect number of processors yet (easy to do, I think), but it's just one preprocessor directive to change it from multiprocessor to single processor. The way I did my threading stuff it is easy to remove, and doesn't make the code look too bad. It's in the ballpark with anything else, or should be. There might be some commercials that beat it significantly, but there could be some commercials that it beats significantly, too. bruce
