Some truth scattered here and there about C++ perhaps, but way too many totally wrong statements. I suspect that's why I didn't know the name, because if he believes what he said, I'd choose to brand him a crackpot and not read any further. But more seriously, his job market comments were not just off, but badly incorrect. Here in Birmingham, the hiring market for programmers is quite vicious, due to a huge demand and a small supply. Good for the programmers however. And yes, there are thousands of COBOL programmers running around with high-paying jobs, because large businesses still use COBOL for their applications.
