How about manipulating their odds a little by assigning superior hardware to inferior code? Or how about assigning lesser PC's to those who simply cannot afford a team of people working on their opening books? And so on... In the end it is an open competition. Those who spent most time preparing for it (and invested the most in time and yes - money) have far better chances than the rest. By the way - I really liked the uniform platform championship that used to be held years ago. But then you have SMP programs, other O/S etc. PK
