Yes, you are right Dann. A small oversight. Sorry. I must have thought "But they is not from Israel" and forgotten all about them. But we still haven't got that gamescore! Since you live in America also can't you ask one of these Weinsteins if they know a relative that plays chess? Aren't they in the phonebook? Nice link by the way, to The Exeter Chess Club, http://www.ex.ac.uk/~dregis/DR/coaching.html, and to Anand's Favourite Links there. So little about chess! I would have expected a link to the Rebel vs. Anand pages but No... Eelco From "Fighting Chess" By Gary Kasparov and Bob Wade: "In the beginning... Gary Kimovich Kasparov was born on April 13, 1963 in Baku, were he still lives. Gary's father, Kim Moiseyevich Wainshtein, an engineer by training, was a cultured and versatile man. He was particularly fond of music and enjoyed playing the violin. It's understandable that he dabbled in chess: it is more of a surprise that his wife was also interested. When Gary had just turned six the family reached a decision to teach him music. It is interesting to ponder what he would have contributed to music had the decision been carried through. Would the vacuum in chess have been filled by another genius? That same evening of decision Gary's parents set up a position from the local newspaper column run by the old chess master, Suryen Abramian. Their little one, Garik (familiar form of Gary), did not raise his eyes from the board; after awakening next morning - at breakfast - Gary suggested a move to solve the position. This amazed the family; no one had taught him the game" Music, violins, chess, mathematics.. The young Albert Einstein also played the violin, reasonably well. If whales had arms, could they play chess? What rating would they have? A nice question for the poll-pages!
