I don't know what machines you guys are using, but perhaps this will
shed a little light.

I had a Gateway Pentium Pro 200 mhz machine with Windows '95 factory
installed, and I tried running my program on it, and I was very
disappointed by how badly it ran. I didn't write down how slow it went,
because I didn't see any reason to, but it was noticeably extremely
slow.

The next day I put NT on it, and the thing went like a bomb.

At the WMCCC Jakarta 1996, Stefan showed up with a Pentium Pro 200
running Windows '95. I let him run Shredder on my NT box and he noticed
a speedup there, as well.

Both of these programs were 32-bit.

I have a PII/300 running Windows '95 now, and my program goes maybe 50%
faster on it than it does on the Pentium Pro 200 with NT, so this
machine doesn't seem to have the same problem.
