The recent discussion reg. CM8000's Lacey inspired me to play some blitz with her. A really volatile game.... I managed to get her within 3 mins - my clock read 2:59 at the end My playing style is generally very conservative - initially I play a really closed game and wait for tiny slip-ups after which I raise the tempo and exchange furiously to transpose ASAP to the end game. However, the smell of blood in this game was too strong for me to settle for anything less than an all out slaughter :) (9 mins/game) [White] Me [Black] Lacey [CM8000 Rating 1308 on my PIII-500] 1.e3 e5 2.d4 d6 3.c3 Nf6 4.f3 Be6 5.e4 Nc6 --------- In keeping with her limited vision. 6.d5 Nxd5 ---------How is that OK even at a 2 ply depth? 7.exd5 Qh4+ 8.g3 Qf6 9.dxc6 bxc6 10.b3 0-0-0 -------Castling to her shattered Qside (esp. when she has an intact Kside), was perhaps not as obvious as her other errors but the biggest in my opinion! 11.Be3 Kb8 12.Qd2 Be7 13.Ba6 d5 14.c4 dxc4 15.Qa5 cxb3 16.axb3 Bxb3 -------- moves into mate! 17.Bxa7+ Ka8 18.Qxc7 Bb4+ 19.Kf2 Rb8 20.Bxb8 Bc5+ 21.Kg2 Qxf3+ 22.Kxf3 Bd5+ 23.Ke2 Bf3+ 24.Kxf3 e4+ 25.Kxe4 Re8+ 26.Kf4 Be3+ 27.Kf3 Rxb8 28.Bb7# ------ She managed to give me ***eight*** suicidal checks to prolong the game! - her fate was sealed right after 16...Bxb3
