I agree with your first statement. I would like to add that if Kramnik wins then we might see some of the other matches against DB. This would be true for a couple of reasons. If IBM lost they might take it as a challenge to beat the new champion and thus play games against others to prepare. Another possible reaction to a loss would be for IBM not care as much about protecting their perceived World Crown. It seems best to keep it simple and let DB play Kramnik. I personally don’t think you have any chance of this happening because I don’t think IBM has anything to gain and much to loose. Also forgive me if IBM no longer owns DB.
