i come across a note from the internet mentioning that crafty has more advanced features than fritz3 so i downloaded the crafty as well as other software like arasan, trisham, crazy bishop, gnu, winboard 3.6.2 and i found out that crafty is the strongest based on its autoplay (machine vs. machine) mode. however, i have some problems : The autoplay option of Winboard 3.6.3 is not functioning properly ( ie. Illegal move a1a1) if i set the first engine using crafty 14.9/ 14.8 for windows ( ie. with Crafty 14.9 playing white versus other programs ) hence i am using the older version of crafty. However , if i set Crafty 14.9 as secondary engine, i have not experienced any problem. there is no problem when i use 14.6 or previous version of crafty. is there any plan to upgrade the winboard software so that there can be a continious autoplay ( ie changing sides like fritz5, rebel9) and saving it to a file.
